Respite care is planned, short-term, and supportive in nature.

The patient’s care needs remain stable (no crisis present)

Where Is Respite Care Provided?

How Long Does Respite Care Last?
Respite care is limited and structured:
Up to 5 consecutive days at a time
Provided on an occasional basis
Patients return home after the respite period

The patient returns to their home or residence
